DPW - PT General Labor

Job Description:

​​Role and Responsibilities​ 

  1. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. 

  1. Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.  

  1. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.  

  1. Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices. 

  1. Service, clean, or supply restrooms.  

  1. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.  

  1. Gather and empty trash.  

  1. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. 

  1.  Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. 

  1. Maintain all City owned property lawns and snow removal when necessary. 
     

​​Qualifications and Education Requirements​ 

  1. 1 year of experience working General Labor preferred. 

  1. A High School Diploma or GED required. 

  1. Some Technical school experience preferred  

  1. A valid Commercial Driver’s License required, CDL preferred.  

Job Compensation

$15.00 p/h
